Sotol is a distillate spirit unlike anything you have had before. It is made from the dasylirion plant, which is native to the Chihuahua region in Mexico. Sotol itself dates back hundreds of years to the indigenous people of Chihuahua, who made into a drink similar to beer. In the colonial era, the Spanish introduced European distillation methods to create the Sotol we know today. The flavor is smooth, with a hint of sweetness, & balanced by a slight smokey flavor.
